Assembling a figure is straightforward. You don’t need many tools. Just glue, a napkin, and a careful approach.
What you need
-
Super glue (gel type is best for plastic)
-
A paper towel or napkin
I recommend using Loctite Super Glue Gel. I used it myself. It’s easy to control, doesn’t drip, and dries fast.
Before gluing
Lay out all the parts and do a quick dry fit without glue. This helps you understand how the figure goes together and in what order.
Gluing process
-
Glue carefully and use only a small amount of glue
-
Always assemble the figure from the bottom up
-
Start with the base or feet, then legs, body, and finish with arms, head, and small details
-
Hold each part in place for a few seconds until the glue sets
-
Keep a napkin nearby to wipe off any excess glue immediately
Assembly order matters
Some figures need to be glued in stages. You may need to glue one part first, let it set, and only then attach the next piece. If something feels unstable, let it dry before continuing.
Final thoughts
Take your time and don’t rush. Careful assembly makes a big difference. If you go slow and build from the bottom up, the figure will be clean, solid, and ready for display or painting.
